昔は、お医者さんにかかった時に、お薬を貰う時は、お会計と同時にお薬をもらっていました。しかし、医薬分業により、院外処方箋が主流になってきたようです。利用者からしてみれば、具合が悪く、やっとの思いで診察に来たのに、薬を貰う為に、調剤薬局を探さなくてはいけない！といった事態にもなります。また、近くに調剤薬局が無い場合には、少し遠出をしなくてはいけなくなり、体がしんどい時や、仕事がある時など、すごく不便な思いもしたこともあります。しかも、処方箋には、４日間しか有効期限がないので、薬を取りに行くのが遅れると、薬を出してくれませんし、また診察を受けなくてはいけない羽目になった事もあります。都会の病院では、調剤薬局がたくさんあり、便利なようですが、田舎の病院になると、なかなか探すのも大変です。
現在、某大手ドラッグストアで働いているのですが、私の勤務するドラックストアでは調剤を行っていません。しかし、よく調剤目当てでやってくるお客様が来ます。私の勤務するお店は、市内に何件かある、大手チェーン店なのですが、私の勤務するお店だけ、調剤を行っていません。利用者にとって一番勘違いしやすい点は、他のチェーン店で調剤をやっていると、同じ系列店なら、どこも調剤をやっているのではないか？と勘違いしている点です。調剤を行っている薬屋さんは、張り紙などで知らせている場合もありますが、扱っていない薬屋さんは、わざわざ知らせる義務はないようです。
「色々手間がかかる」「融通が利かない」「不便」といった面倒な点が多い調剤薬局ですが、院内処方箋時よりも、薬の詳しい説明を受けられるようになり、「安心して薬が飲めるようになった」というメリットもあります。こいった問題も、今後の改善により、調剤薬局が柔軟な対応になってくれる事を望みます。（ドラックストア勤務）
